Givenchy Fall Winter 2014 Pre-Order at Antonioli

21st May 2014
Even if the idea of Fall Winter 2014 transition has not hit us in real-time, the sensation of Givenchy is heading into the future with incredible momentum transformation in style direction that will be sure to set the standard of reform. This week alone, Antonioli and a few global retailers has introduced their Fall Winter 2014 menswear collection ready for pre-order, congregated among the pool of interesting leading designers includes our prized BalmainGivenchyGiuseppe ZanottiHood by AirMarcelo BurlonRick OwensValentino and much more.
It just takes a quick glance to see the current Givenchy Fall Winter 2014 menswear runway looks that have a wealth of dynamic inspiration from the deepest roots of Riccardo Tisci’s biggest childhood memories leading towards basketball court lines infused with a Bauhaus art movement twist. Read more about the Givenchy Fall Winter 2014 Basketball Bauhaus story here.

Despite concerns to stay on a defensive strategy and playing it safe, Tisci takes on the forceful headwinds of style with a creative innovation by integrating core themes and designs initiated in the earlier years. Remodelled to fit the future Pre-Fall 2014 and Fall Winter 2014 lifestyle incorporates the artistic mix of the Givenchy Elmerinda SS09Givenchy Keffieh SS10, Givenchy Madonna SS13 and Givenchy Doberman PF13 inspired abstract brushstroke prints. The new Givenchy menswear is taking a unique position changing in both style and demographic by introducing stronger sportswear influence towards it’s unique key signatures. The new regime has a definite hint of athletics masculinity and street nobility, despite the overwhelming oversize trousers introduced within the runway collection.

The forward design aesthetic has even enveloped the return of the picturesque Rottweiler, faced from the Givenchy Pre-Fall 2012 collection addressing the commercial market needs. This pragmatic version will be available in a Givenchy Rottweiler Columbian-Fit T-Shirt, Givenchy Rottweiler Embroidered Sweatshirt, Givenchy Rottweiler Star-Detail Skate Slip-On Sneaker, Givenchy Rottweiler Star-Detail Print Backpack and perhaps even a clutch collection that has a significant sophistication when compared towards it’s predecessor by increasing the print scale, therefore increasing it’s impact presence. The Givenchy Pre-Fall 2014 and Givenchy Fall Winter 2014 collections were filled with intricate details housing a diversity twice it’s collection, setting an array of preferences to be suitable for most urban occasions.

The variance of Givenchy shows tremendous potential as a forward-thinker. A new foundation of increasingly textiles enhancements and handsome menswear addressing the resurgence of the future style. Great post Maurice.
But which GIVENCHY ELMERINDA to buy?
I think i will go with the second, hoping that the Kanye west version the first one with the star applique details will be released later.
    Tx

    • I would choose this version as it has more details

      http://bit.ly/1k4TByT

However you may be right, the star applique will be much more worthy. Have to see when it will be release.

    • Anonymous

      I went with your recommendation.
      Thanks Maurice.
I think this print will be massively popular later on.
I love the details as you said.
If they released Mr. West's version later on i will buy it.

    • I have a good feeling they will release, but it will probably be priced $300-400 above the normal Elmerinda.

    • Anonymous

      Me too.
I don't mind buying another Elmerinda print t-shirt if they release the star detailed one.
I think its been a while since that red fighter and the star applique on a printed tee.
How exclusive they look with years.
A brand to always look for.
I think we all love Givenchy.

    • The last one was released more than a year ago, be sure to watch what's Luisa Via Roma going to stock. I have a good feeling it will be out soon.

    • These will look good with the haversack. Highly recommended! Good choice!

i don't like that much those articles( and balmain articles in antonioli shop), but great post…
lot of shit in givenchy sweaters:(

    • You should try this out – Givenchy Multicolor Abstract Print Sweatshirt. Trust me, with those colours you will stand out among the crowd. It is the perfect statement piece for this season, should try it in store!

      Do you think so.
Though i believe that the basketball is the theme for the FW and not an abstract multi colored sweater.
      http://bit.ly/1nsFkL6 Is it oversized???
Givenchy FW lacks the creativity that is offered is SS.
      Its my opinion though.

    • Yes, just because basketball is Givenchy's main team doesnt mean it will be successful, there are many good trending examples in the past to determine how the collection will take off. Usually it is quite unpredictable, except the ones with star-applique, star coding.

The multicolour is oversize, columbian-fit. You will have to take 2 sizes smaller.

It depends which direction the brand is heading to, FW is about dark romanticism, star coding, animal, spirituality… You can see here to understand the brand.

yeap the givenchy multicolour sweater is cool, some t shirt are cool too…
let's see the entire collection :)

    • They don't XXS anymore ? as i see the pre-order only up to XS ?

So far i bought the following.

Now looking at the following (the t-shirt or sweater version not yet decided what do you think).
The sweater looks oversized or lets say relaxed and not cuban as specified at their website.
    Do you agree Maurice?

    http://www.antonioli.eu/en/men/products/14f7326-653-001#.U33AztKSw1I
Shall i consider the GIVENCHY ICONIC ROTTWEILER BACKPACK or let go?
    Tx

    • The Givenchy Keffieh T-Shirt is oversized, while the Sweatshirt is Cuban-Fit. The Cuban-Fit for sweatshirts are loose fit from the chest till bottom. But it is not to be mistaken with Columbian-Fit Sweatshirts.

      http://bit.ly/RXeSPD
For Cuban-Fit Sweatshirts, you need to take your normal size like the Cuban-Fit T-shirts. This is because, despite the loose cutting, the neck size is correct unlike the Columbian-Fit versions which are purposely made into a true oversize.

      http://bit.ly/1n4qyfr

You should definitely get the Givenchy Rottweiler Print Backpack, but let me warn you first it is made in China. Givenchy has mass-made these bags in the same style but different prints. They are unlike the previous versions that were made in Italy. Then again, I have a good vision that it will be sold out like the Bambi, for sure it will not go on sale so it is safe to buy :)

    • Anonymous

But this is the first time they release a Rottweiler Print Backpack, right?
Back to the Keffieh piece from Givenchy, i have a feeling that you vote for the sweater version.
      Right?
Do you feel that the details look more bold and complete on the sweater version or its a matter of need or taste?

    • Yes, its the first time they used this print for the backpack. If it is successful, they will remake it again just like the women's antigona and pvc print pouch.

The Keffieh print looks better on the sweatshirt, the overall print that runs through the sleeves will create a higher visual impact. I think that the t-shirt version shares too much similarity like Marcelo Burlon, as in the print composition runs from top to the side.

    • Anonymous

Thanks for clarifying this to me.
True it shares certain design aspects from Burlon Tee range.
I will go with your recommendation and look at different t-shirts from FW.

  • Anonymous

    Maurice,
    Is this a runway piece?

I think i will settle for those sweaters from FW.
    https://antonioli-prod-1.s3.amazonaws.com/products/61517/large/14F7326653001_copia.jpg?1400000353
    https://antonioli-prod-1.s3.amazonaws.com/products/57765/large/14w7317678051.jpg?1399562577
I think both will be highly demanded and popular later.
And i will wait for the Rottweiler to be released again for pre-order (i wanna buy the black t-shirt version and the cotton grey sweatshirt).
I have seen a different grey than the one that was on pre-order at Antonioli earlier.
    http://instagram.com/p/oVYfF7o3dO/
Is this the same one that was on pre-order at Antonioli?
I think one is grey the other is heather grey.
It seems more variations from the Rottweiler will be released later.
Will you consider the wool sweater?
    Thanks Maurice.

    • Its the same grey, I will probably opt for the t-shirt in grey. Hopefully they have that version…

It wont be suitable for me to wear the sweatshirt, as I wear t-shirt more than sweaters. Plus rottweilers aren't practical for work :(

Many pieces from SS will go under the sale cycle except for those released towards the end of the season like the shorts with the prints (i believe the shorts will be immensely popular in the future similar to the Rottweiler shorts) and the leggings with the stripes or prints.
Ru looking at anything particular from the sale that is hitting the online stores now.
I had the chance to buy the Givenchy Baseball Leather Jacket with the star details with a 30% discount.
Since i am a givenchy freak a jacket with the stars details will be an add for my wardrobe.
I was looking at the Obsedia Leather backpack on discount too, but i missed it unfortunately.

    • Good on you, I doubt they the sale will hit Givenchy hard. The principal is quite strict and the retailers can't offer discount at their choice. It depends of course, some retailers may provide discounts prior to approval, But this is another story….

I am only looking at a pair of Balmain sneakers, waiting for it to go 50% off. Not too sure about the rest though, kind of want to buy some Thom Browne clothes for work. For Givenchy, I have nothing more in mind as I have already gotten what I wanted :)

    Maurice is this possible?
    http://www.mrporter.com/intl//sizechart.mrp?productID=410854&unit=cm&exclude=true#product-measurements-anchor
A size 54 with a 43 cm shoulder measurement and the chest measurement is 124 cm.
Any idea about sizing issues with SL.
If someone has broad shoulders it means that he can't wear SL pieces.
    I love this jacket.

    • The chest cut is slightly bigger to accommodate a loose fit. It's design to be shoulder hugging, you can see it at the demo video as show here

      http://bit.ly/1ikvd7P

Therefore it is true to size!

    Maurice,
Is this the FW runway version re-released?
    http://www.lindelepalais.com/public/prodotti/26687/Original/AW14—GIVENCHY—14F7311026001.JPG
They write chenille sweatshirt in the description.
    Cuban or oversized.
    Tx

    • Yes its for Pre-Fall 14. Its not runway, just repeated design.

    Hi Maurice,

I want to buy this STAR PRINTED CUBAN COTTON POLO,
I saw the price from this two site antonioli and luisaviaroma were different. much different.
antonioli is cheaper than luisaviaroma. are they same items?
    http://www.antonioli.eu/en/men/products/14f7103-701-001#.U5VbE02KCtV
    http://www.luisaviaroma.com/index.aspx?#ItemSrv.ashx|SeasonId=60I&CollectionId=LBF&ItemId=19&VendorColorId=MDAx0&SeasonMemoCode=actual&GenderMemoCode=men&CategoryId=&SubLineMemoCode=

    • Yes they are the same items, but did you double check the country it is shipping to? Usually it is the same.

  • LM

"El Dolar Pasa, La Dignidad Perdura" amazing quote and amazing tee… one of my favorites tee. This collection is really simple things but also very special, like "17 lucifero tee", "17 bomber jacket", "bombers jackets", "shirts with zippers"

Hated the last Showroom and thought this collection would be a shit, but tisci and his team silenced my mouth.

    • There are much more than this, lots of FW13 pieces has been converted to new styles, like the baseball braided sweater made in a shirt.

The Elmerinda is so popular that it is now sold out at Luisa Via Roma!

    Maurice,

The Nordstrom Flagship Downtown Seattle just started receiving their FW14 footwear shipment. I am interested in the Madonna Abstract Print Skate slip-on, and the Elmerinda Skate slip-on but I don't know much about them. Do you know if there were any specific inspirations behind these prints? I'm particularly intrigued by the Madonna print, and I'm curious if it was derived from any specific painting. Furthermore, I'm also curious as to the method of printing as it looked very vivid. Thanks for your time.

    • Hi there, the madonna print was inspired from spirituality and religion that has been incorporated into this theme. The painting is actually digital paint brushstrokes and design wise has been taken from the Spring Summer 2013 theme.
