Saint Laurent Spring Summer 2014 Menswear1st July 2013
Sunday’s Paris Fashion Week sees a new light at creative director Hedi Slimane’s Saint Laurent Spring Summer 2014 Menswear Collection with an energetic twist of glamours rockability styles that seems to be inspired from the 1950s. Hedi Slimane takes inspiration from a young rocker with a consistent visionary approach infused with various elements of rock ‘n’ rolled inspired garments which looks were great and imaginative styling, leaving behind the almost directionless grunge-fuelled Fall Winter 2013 collection.
Despite the crucial changes for rock obsession where Saint Laurent shows fashion and music infused together with pounding soundtrack are a testament where Hedi Slimane’s priorities lies. The near-adolescent rocker wears pointy buckled ankle boots with his signature skinny pants and a modern fit short leather jacket along with bolo ties seemed to be a repetitive touch of a teddy boy that ensembles the total predictably 44 looks which produced no great fashion surprises. No doubt that Saint Laurent under Hedi Slimane will continue to sell actively as it has for the last 12 months.
